Refund Policy
Last updated: August 2, 2026
Overview
We want you to be confident in your Parse subscription. This Refund Policy explains our approach to refunds, cancellations, and billing disputes for our prompt security API service. This policy supplements our Terms of Service.
1. Subscription Plans (Stripe)
1.1 Monthly Billing
Our Solo ($12/mo), Pro ($49/mo) and Team ($199/mo) plans are billed monthly via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle until cancelled. Solo was previously absent from this policy while being the plan marketed hardest at individuals; it is covered by every clause below.
1.2 Cancellation
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through the billing dashboard or by contacting support
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- You will retain full access to the Service until the end of the paid period
- No further charges will be made after cancellation
1.3 Refund Eligibility
We offer the following refund options for subscription plans:
- Within 7 days of initial subscription: Full refund if you have not exceeded 1,000 API requests during the period
- Annual plans: Pro-rated refund for unused full months, minus the first month, if cancelled within 30 days
- Billing errors: Full refund for charges resulting from duplicate billing, system errors, or unauthorized charges reported within 60 days
1.4 Non-Refundable Scenarios
- Renewal charges for subscriptions not cancelled before the renewal date
- Usage-based overages or metered charges already incurred
- Subscriptions cancelled after the 7-day window for monthly plans (unless a billing error occurred)
- Accounts terminated due to violations of our Acceptable Use Policy
2. x402 Pay-Per-Call Payments
2.1 How It Works
For pay-per-call usage, each API request is paid individually in USDC via the x402 protocol on the Base L2 blockchain. Payment is verified on-chain before the response is returned.
2.2 Refund Policy for x402
- Successful calls: Individual successful API calls are non-refundable, as the computational resources (LLM analysis, sandbox execution) are consumed at the time of the request
- Failed calls: If the API returns an error (5xx) or fails to deliver a response due to a service-side issue, you will not be charged for that call. If payment was collected before the failure, we will issue a credit for the equivalent amount
- On-chain transaction fees: Gas fees and network transaction costs are not refundable, as these are paid to the blockchain network, not to Parse
3. How to Request a Refund
3.1 Subscription Refunds
To request a subscription refund:
- Email [email protected] with the subject "Refund Request"
- Include your account email or API key hint and the reason for the request
- Submit within the applicable refund window (see Section 1.3)
- Refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days
3.2 x402 Credits
To request a credit for failed x402 calls:
- Email [email protected] with the transaction hash and timestamp
- We will verify the failed call on-chain and issue a credit to your account
- Credits are applied to future x402 payments automatically
4. Enterprise and Custom Plans
Enterprise and custom contract terms supersede this policy where they conflict. Refund terms for enterprise plans are governed by the applicable master service agreement (MSA) or statement of work (SOW).
5. Chargebacks and Disputes
We encourage you to contact us at [email protected] before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. We are committed to resolving billing issues promptly. Please note:
- Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in account suspension pending resolution
- Frivolous or fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent account termination
- We will provide transaction records and evidence to your bank or card issuer to dispute unwarranted chargebacks
6. Service Credits
If the Service experiences downtime that breaches our service level commitment, you may be eligible for service credits. Service credits are applied to your next billing cycle and are not issued as cash refunds. Contact support with details of any qualifying outage.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated "Last updated" date. Refund eligibility is determined by the policy in effect at the time of your purchase.
